Why Should You Take This IICRC-approved Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) course?
This IICRC-approved Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) course is designed to teach restoration personnel that perform remediation work to give them a better concept of water damage, its effects and techniques for drying of structures. This course will give residential and commercial maintenance personnel the background to understand the procedures necessary to deal with water losses, sewer backflows, and contamination such as mold.
When coupled with additional on-the-job training and field experience, students should be adequately prepared to perform and document typical residential or light commercial water-damage restoration projects from start to finish. They also should be adequately prepared to accomplish further training in other IICRC-approved courses such as ASD (Applied Structural Drying), and AMRT (Applied Microbial Remediation Technician), which require WRT (Water Damage Restoration Technician) as a prerequisite.

Intended Audience: Restoration & remediation companies, contractors, universities, large organizations, facility managers, water damage technicians, carpet cleaning companies, BOMA members, home & building inspectors, and anyone that deals with water damage.

Continuing Education: The IICRC continuing education program seeks to encourage registrants to actively participate in their industry through conventions, workshops and specialized training with continuing education and by sharing knowledge with others in the industry. IICRC-certified cleaning and restoration technicians face many changes in their field and require 14.0 CE credit hours every four years.
Please Note: Failure to meet continuing education credit requirements will result in suspension of that particular status until the requirement is met and all current course requirements are met.

I took my course with Rick in an online course. Rick moved through the course at a good pace, engaging with the class, stopping to answer questions and throughly explaining the answers. This was my first online class that lasted more day. I had concerns on whether I could get the materials needed for the exam. Only hang up was the instructions name on the site was wrong so you could not take the test later that day. So taking the test will be 5-7 days after test. For someone my age it will be a little harder, was wanting to move on. The older you get the more difficult it is to retain information . Devan S.
