This IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD) course is designed to teach the effective, efficient and timely drying of water-damaged structures and contents, using comprehensive classroom and hands-on training, in order to facilitate appropriate decision making within a restorative drying environment. Emphasis will be placed on teaching applied structural drying techniques to individuals who will perform these procedures in the field. Course graduates will be adequately equipped to perform these services, while protecting the health and safety of workers and occupants.

I had an outstanding experience taking the ASD class with Dr. She is an exceptional instructor with an incredible amount of knowledge and experience. She has a great ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, practical, and engaging way, making the class both informative and enjoyable.
One of the highlights of the course was the hands-on training in the flood house. Being able to apply what we learned in the classroom to a realistic water damage scenario was extremely valuable and made the entire learning experience even better. She did an excellent job connecting the science and technical aspects of structural drying with real-world applications.
I also want to thank Doug for all his hospitality and attention throughout the course, and especially for taking the time to share his knowledge and experience with us.
Overall, this was an excellent class and one of the most valuable training experiences I’ve had. I definitely walked away with more knowledge, confidence, and a better understanding of advanced structural drying. I highly recommend taking ASD with Dr.! Seamus R.

The class was pretty easy to find. Very close to the airport. I took the IICRC Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD) on August 11, 2026. The teachers and staff was what made me feel comfortable while being out of my comfort zone. Very patient teachings even while working at what I would consider a fast pace for a guy that is just getting into this line of work. The wet house was very clean for the amount of water that things holds on the daily. I cant think of a better way to learn from the environment I was in. Thank you Sandy and the other instructors for the extra attention you gave me. Please keep up the great teachings and support. Matthew F.

This has probably been the best class I have attended from the IICRC. The instructor made it very simple and easy to understand. Our trainer, Chris was great. He explained things so well, and made it so interesting that it felt like the test was too easy. I felt that I was able to retain all of the information crammed in a short time. I've been in the industry 35 years and still learned so much. I will be taking the instructors CEC courses as well. The whole process when I arrived was absolutely five star. My instructor was incredibly informative. He was easy to talk to. He knew how to get the information across. He’s very knowledgeable and extremely passionate about the water damage restoration business . As far as the actual location when I arrived, there was plenty of parking very easy access. The accommodations were amazing you walk in they have full-blown breakfast coffee cereal, cookies chips, sodas, water you name it they had it then want lunch rolls around and you have a three course lunch The people there are absolutely so polite John, Lisa and Anthony are just so pleasant to deal with. How could you go anywhere else to train when needed? Absolutely five stars for the instructor and for RTI. Thank you so much for your warm accommodations. Joe C.

Holly was fantastic. I learned so much in ASD compared to WRT and that’s because she is such a knowledgeable and wonderful instructor. She made it fun, she answered every single question, and still got us through on time and prepared for the exam. I can’t imagine anyone failing with her as their instructor. The instructor Chris was great, very knowledgeable, and a good teacher. I would have like to see a better hands-on experience in the entire floor house. Only getting to work on one room with one specific situation was great, but not well rounded. The class had a lot of "funny-guys" and "know-it-alls" - This made for a very difficult learning environment and contributed to a lot of information not related to the course/test. Chris did make the information fun and lively and I would take a class with him again in the future (hopefully not with the same group of people in this class). Edgar J.
