This IICRC Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) course covers mold and sewage remediation techniques to individuals engaged in property management, property restoration, IEQ (Indoor Environmental Quality) investigations or other related professions. Emphasis will be placed on teaching mold and sewage remediation techniques to individuals who will perform these procedures in the field. Course graduates will be adequately equipped to perform remediation services while protecting the health and safety of workers and occupants.

The course was thorough and excellent. I am new to this industry and out of the course prepared to begin the real world learning. This was partly book study and partly real uands on learning. I highly recommend taking any class with Nate Seward for this course. He kept the class interesting and he explains things very well. Felt super comfortable to ask questions. Best part was being able to set up containment and Decon chambers but I wish we were able to do that a little more because that was fun but it’s enough to get you prepared for a real job scenario so I have no complaints Brad W.

This class was a phenomenal learning experience. I’ve never experienced a learning experience like this, in comparison to my other IICRC classes. I learned everything I needed to know about the science behind mold remediation, but in addition to that I had hands on training for container, but most importantly I learned real hands on experience, information and knowledge that is a complete game changer. Dr Brandon displayed an amazing way of teaching providing science insight and the ability to use critical thinking for yourself. It reminded be of the great educators I experienced in elementary and college that taught me to think outside the box and to do your own research and that not everything your taught is right. I’d highly recommend this class and instructor to anyone. I look forward to taking another class for a different certificate from this instructor. This class has made me a more critical thinker, advanced my knowledge and prepared me for real world job experience and professionalism. Zachary D.

I recently attended the AMRT class with Mark, and it was an outstanding experience. Mark is an excellent instructor with tremendous knowledge of the mold and water damage restoration industry, backed by extensive hands-on experience in the field. He doesn’t just teach theory — he shares real-world scenarios, practical solutions, and best practices that can be applied immediately on the job.
What I appreciated most was how clearly he explained complex concepts and connected them to everyday restoration work, including water damage, mold remediation, restoration. His teaching style keeps the class engaged, and he makes sure students truly understand the material, not just memorize it.
As a business owner, I would confidently send all of our technicians to be trained by Mark. The value of his instruction goes beyond certification — it improves field performance, decision-making, and professionalism.
