This IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT) course concentrates on technical procedure for successfully completing the restoration of a fire and smoke damaged environment. Students will learn how to combine technical procedures with a practical approach to managing the job site and how that relates to pricing the job.

IICRC Exam Fees: $80.00 for each exam. Retests are $80.00 per exam. These fees are in addition to the registration fee and are paid directly to the IICRC online prior to course start date. Please use this link to register for the exam: https://iicrc.org/livestreamexamregistration
Continuing Education: The IICRC continuing education program seeks to encourage registrants to actively participate in their industry through conventions, workshops and specialized training with continuing education and by sharing knowledge with others in the industry.
INSPECTORS: Due to rapid changes in fiber, yarn, dye, manufacturing, finishing and related technologies, IICRC-certified inspectors must attain 14.0 CE credit hours every two years.
CLEANING/RESTORATION TECHNICIANS: IICRC-certified cleaning and restoration technicians face many changes in their field and require 14.0 CE credit hours every four years.
ADVANCED DESIGNATIONS: Those registrants achieving the advanced designations of Master Textile Cleaner (MTC), Master Fire and Smoke Restorer (MSR) or Master Water Restorer (MWR) will be required to attain 14.0 CE credit hours every two years.
Please Note: Failure to meet continuing education credit requirements will result in suspension of that particular status until the requirement is met and all current course requirements are met.

I am new to this line of work so my eyes were wide open, or I should say "ears wide open." I thought Mike was a great instructor providing an overall education with details and specifics throughout. Michael is an entertaining educator. I enjoyed his course & the wealth of knowledge he carries; however, his teaching style seemed to be more suitable for individuals of whom have previous experience in the fire restoration field. As someone who doesn’t have fire restoration experience, I would’ve appreciated a teaching style that could’ve been more effective for a first timer. Still, a good experience nevertheless. Thank you. Michael J. Sciullo Schools is an IICRC approved trainer for Odor Control, Water Restoration, and Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician training. Instructor Mike Sciullo has a BA in Education from the School of Education University of Pittsburgh. He combines his passion for teaching with his expertise in cleaning and restoration to provide a unique educational experience. Mike is an industry veteran with over 40 years experience. He has been teaching as an approved IICRC instructor since 1983. Mike was one of the first ten instructors who helped write the original standards, manuals, and tests. Mike's schools are all about educating his students and not selling a particular brand name or product.
