This IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT) course concentrates on technical procedure for successfully completing the restoration of a fire and smoke damaged environment. Students will learn how to combine technical procedures with a practical approach to managing the job site and how that relates to pricing the job.

IICRC Exam Fees: $80.00 for each exam. Retests are $80.00 per exam. These fees are in addition to the registration fee and are paid directly to the IICRC online prior to course start date. Please use this link to register for the exam: https://iicrc.org/livestreamexamregistration
Continuing Education: The IICRC continuing education program seeks to encourage registrants to actively participate in their industry through conventions, workshops and specialized training with continuing education and by sharing knowledge with others in the industry.
INSPECTORS: Due to rapid changes in fiber, yarn, dye, manufacturing, finishing and related technologies, IICRC-certified inspectors must attain 14.0 CE credit hours every two years.
CLEANING/RESTORATION TECHNICIANS: IICRC-certified cleaning and restoration technicians face many changes in their field and require 14.0 CE credit hours every four years.
ADVANCED DESIGNATIONS: Those registrants achieving the advanced designations of Master Textile Cleaner (MTC), Master Fire and Smoke Restorer (MSR) or Master Water Restorer (MWR) will be required to attain 14.0 CE credit hours every two years.
Please Note: Failure to meet continuing education credit requirements will result in suspension of that particular status until the requirement is met and all current course requirements are met.

Rudy shared his professional experience and personal stories to enhance and illustrate the principles in the Guide. He went through all the material in the Guide and added extra information that was helpful. He welcomed questions and took regular mini breaks that helped the class focus. I had been a property adjuster for over 20 years and in construction/restoration for about 10. I enjoyed the training and the instructor. The material and the examples were relevant. He shared an idea of packing out the contents in a tan box and returning what was cleaned in a white box to show that there was work being done and to figure out what home deodorizers they currently use in their house and match the product or at least the cent and I had never thought of doing that. I know those are simple and not the main focus but those ideas will go a long way to help. Travis B.

Mark was great as an instructor. He thoroughly explained every chapter of the booklet we were learning from. He kept us all involved asking stuff to see if we were retaining Information. He took the time to answer any questions or concerns and elaborated when someone was not understanding a topic.

The class was very informative, and the instructor was very knowledgeable, but I feel that he added too much personal stories and experience into the class when it didn’t warrant it. There was a lot of breaks, which was nice, but the personally would have wished we would have followed the book a bit more and made sure to stay on track.
