This course is ONLY for CEs (Continuing Education Credits). The registered attendee must already be WRT Certified and no exam will be administered. By completing both (2) days of the class, the attendee will receive 14 Hours of IIICRC CEs.
Why Should You Take This IICRC Continuing Education - WRT course?
The IICRC Continuing Education Program seeks to encourage registrants to actively participate in their industry through conventions, workshops and specialized training with continuing education and by sharing knowledge with others in the industry. Failure to meet continuing education credit requirements will result in suspension of that particular status until the requirement is met and all current course requirements are met. Sign up for this IICRC Continuing Education - WRT course to fulfill the necessary requirements to keep your hard-earned IICRC certification. This 2 day part of the WRT class is for IICRC CEC's-Continuing Education Credits. NO EXAM can be taken unless the full 3 day WRT class is completed.
Please Note: This course will earn you 14 CE hours.
IICRC Continuing Education Requirements:
INSPECTORS: Due to rapid changes in fiber, yarn, dye, manufacturing, finishing and related technologies, IICRC-certified inspectors must attain two continuing education credits every two years.
CLEANING/RESTORATION TECHNICIANS: IICRC-certified cleaning and restoration technicians face many changes in their field and require two credits every four years.
ADVANCED DESIGNATIONS: Those registrants achieving the advanced designations of Master Textile Cleaner (MTC), Master Fire and Smoke Restorer (MSR) or Master Water Restorer (MWR) will be required to attain two credits every two years.
Topics To Be Covered Include - This course is the first two days of the IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician course, and includes information on:
- General Discussion covers Principles of Drying, Categories and Classes.
- Equipment, Supplies, Chemicals
- Microorganisms, Health and Safety
- Drying Science
- Effect of Water on Materials
- Inspections
- Procedures: Sanitary Water Source
- Procedures: Unsanitary Water

Justin and Bruce did a great job making the WRT continuing education refresher engaging, easy to follow, and enjoyable. The class felt conversational rather than just going through slides, which made the material easier to understand and kept the refresher interesting throughout the day. They both brought real-world experience into the discussion, encouraged questions, and explained the material in a practical way that was easy to relate to. It was a refreshing way to revisit WRT material while earning my continuing education credits. I would definitely recommend their classes to others in the restoration industry.

They were absolutely amazing. When you are used to working in such a busy environment, having to sit in a classroom setting for 8 hours a day can feel brutal.
