Unfortunately, this was a combined mold remediation contractor and mold assessor class, and the material was heavily assessor oriented and very light on abatement or the requirements of Article 32. The class also spent more time on asbestos and lead issues than necessary. I have been in the industry since 2004, held my NYS remediation contractor certification since 2015, so I had no personal problems and enjoyed the class as it broadened my knowledge. My experience is that the contractor class is one full day on the requirements and review of Article 32, and two days of abatement worker; this clas sorely did not cover this adequately. I absolutely would not be able to recommend this class for a newcomer as it would be a disservice to them as they would not get the training and skills they need for abatement work.
