NATIONAL ASBESTOS & ENVIRONMENTAL TRAINING INSTITUTE (NAETI), founded in 1985, was originally dedicated to an asbestos curriculum. NAETI’s course offerings have evolved to address other safety, environmental and green areas of study.
In 2018, NAETI Services merged with LEW Environmental, joining two of the most experienced environmental consulting, remediation, and training companies in the country. LEW Environmental and NAETI utilize state-of-the-art equipment, practices, and procedures, and our team members are fully trained and licensed in their disciplines while complying with federal, state, and local laws. Instructor Orrett was good, knowledgeable, presented well.
Unfortunately, this was a combined mold remediation contractor and mold assessor class, and the material was heavily assessor oriented and very light on abatement or the requirements of Article 32. The class also spent more time on asbestos and lead issues than necessary.
I have been in the industry since 2004, held my NYS remediation contractor certification since 2015, so I had no personal problems and enjoyed the class as it broadened my knowledge. My experience is that the contractor class is one full day on the requirements and review of Article 32, and two days of abatement worker; this clas sorely did not cover this adequately. I absolutely would not be able to recommend this class for a newcomer as it would be a disservice to them as they would not get the training and skills they need for abatement work. Marcelo C.

I highly recommend to all who is getting involved with lead arena to take this class. Wow. It was mind boggling to find out how much I did not know. It’s intense and tones of information given by the dr. Balbi. Given the amount of information you need to know they designed the class well. Especially for people like me who need to be in a class surrounding to absorb information. Hands on and in class learning. You are not going to get this from a book. I appreciated the no nonsense approach. If you are going to take his class, make sure you pay attention to every word. When the class was over, I knew I had to study more. I walked out of class having more questions than when I walked in the first class. Not because they didn’t cover the subject but rather due to what I learned from class I had / have more questions. Great class and it was fun. don't get me wrong it's intense class but it helps to have a good teacher. Professor made the class fun and interactive. Again I highly recommend his class!!!!! Richard E.
