This Lead Renovator (RRP) Training Course is conducted in Spanish, including all course materials and the final exam. It is an 8-hour class, and follows the EPA or EPA-authorized state curriculum for safely performing installations, repairs, renovations, or painting in housing and child-facilities built before 1978 which may have lead paint present.
Lead poisoning resulting from renovations and other activities that create lead dust is a serious issue, but one that can be mitigated with the proper lead-safe practices utilized by building professionals, property managers, or anyone executing this type of work on target buildings.
At least one person who has completed this 8-hour training must be present on qualifying job sites, supervising the work and following proper record-keeping techniques. These requirements will be reviewed in detail through lecture and hands-on activities throughout the course.

The Lead RRP Rule
Federal regulations passed in 2010 requires certification of painters, landlords, renovators, contractors, installers, and anyone performing work that disturbs painted surfaces on housing and child-occupied facilities that are older than 1978. Failure to comply could result in fines of up to $41,056 per day.

Este curso de capacitación para líderes en renovación (RRP) se lleva a cabo en español e incluye todos los materiales del curso y el examen final. Es una clase de 8 horas y sigue el plan de estudios de la EPA o el plan de estudios estatal autorizado por la EPA para realizar instalaciones, reparaciones, renovaciones o pintura de manera segura en viviendas e instalaciones para niños construidas antes de 1978 que puedan tener pintura con plomo.

RRP Project Binder Overview
Please note: this product is sent via Fedex to your mailing
address and will not be delivered in class, as it is for use on an RRP job site and is
separate from the class manual. Please allow 3-5 business days for shipping.
The RRP Project Binder & Tutorial is an optional record-keeping tool that is perfect for
compiling and retaining all required documents to be in compliance with the EPA Renovation
Repair and Painting Rule (40 CFR Part 745). The Binder is the essential tool for
step-by-step instructions on "how to" complete forms and letters that are included in the
Renovation Repair and Painting Rule Project Binder. It is recommended that each renovation
project retain a Project Binder & Tutorial on-site for the duration of the project. The
Project Binder is to be retained after the completion of the project for a period of three
years, accessible by the EPA for possible spontaneous audit.
For those working in EPA-authorized states including AL, DE, GA, IA, KS, MA, MS, NC, OK, OR, RI, UT, WA or WI there may be additional or alternate record-keeping requirements from what is presented in the RRP Project Binder. Please check with your local and state lead programs to confirm the work practices and record-keeping required for RRP work in your area. The following forms are incorporated into the Project Binder:
