Why Should You Take This IICRC Stone, Masonry & Tile Care Technician (SMT) course?
This IICRC Stone, Masonry & Tile Care Technician (SMT) course provides precise information for the proper maintenance and cleaning of natural and man-made (cultured) stone, ceramic tile, masonry, and grout surfaces. Students will learn the theory behind and reasons for proper tools, chemicals and equipment.
Emphasis will be placed on protecting surfaces, technicians and building occupants. Students completing the course will be adequately equipped to perform maintenance-related tasks involving stone, masonry and ceramic tile surfaces.

- Identification of Stone, Marble, and Tile
- Chemistry of Tile Cleaning
- Tool and Equipment Selection
- Sealer Selection and Application
- How to Avoid Problems
- Marketing and Sales for Profit!
IICRC Exam Fees: $80.00 for each exam. Retests are $80.00 per exam. These fees are in addition to the registration fee and are paid directly to the IICRC online prior to course start date. Please use this link to register for the exam: https://iicrc.org/livestreamexamregistration
INSPECTORS: Due to rapid changes in fiber, yarn, dye, manufacturing, finishing and related technologies, IICRC-certified inspectors must attain 14.0 CE credit hours every two years.
CLEANING/RESTORATION TECHNICIANS: IICRC-certified cleaning and restoration technicians face many changes in their field and require 14.0 CE credit hours every four years.
ADVANCED DESIGNATIONS: Those registrants achieving the advanced designations of Master Textile Cleaner (MTC), Master Fire and Smoke Restorer (MSR) or Master Water Restorer (MWR) will be required to attain two credits every two years.

| Certificates | IICRC classes have additional $80 charge payable to the IICRC to take the test and results are in 4-6 weeks. Coval Certification Class attendees get automatic certification upon course completion. IICRC will mail the students their certificates.
