Corporate Training By Zack Academy - Pollution Prevention and Good Housekeeping for Municipal Operators

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s) are vital components of a city's water system. By collecting stormwater runoff, these systems help to prevent flooding.

This Pollution Prevention and Good Housekeeping for Municipal Operators covers some of the components an operator of a Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) must include in its Stormwater Management Program. Specifically, it fulfills the sixth Minimum Control Measure of MS4 management as outlined by the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).

This course covers various types and sources of pollution, MS4 implementation, requirements of MS4 operators and guidelines for development.  It focus on the types of pollution that enters waterways from streets and vehicle maintenance areas, and pollution that results from poor storm sewer systems and floor management practices.

Upon successful completion of this online, 3-hour program, students will receive a certificate of completion. This course can qualify for 3.0 Professional Developmental Hours.
