Pollution Prevention and Good Housekeeping for Municipal Operators Courses

Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s) are vital components of a city's water system. By collecting stormwater runoff, these systems help to prevent flooding.

This Pollution Prevention and Good Housekeeping for Municipal Operators course covers some of the components an operator of a Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) must include in its Stormwater Management Program. This course is designed to teach students how to meet the conditions of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit. This course covers various types and sources of pollution, MS4 implementation, requirements of MS4 operators and guidelines for development. It focus on the types of pollution that enters waterways from streets and vehicle maintenance areas, and pollution that results from poor storm sewer systems and floor management practices.

Upon successful completion of this online 3-hour program, students will receive a certificate of completion.
