This OSHA Outreach Training Program for the Maritime Industry provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in the maritime industry. The program also provides information regarding workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. Through this training, OSHA helps to ensure that workers are more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights, and contribute to our nation's productivity. The OSHA 10 Maritime Industry course that I attended on 6/5 - 6/6 was very well presented by instructor Brandon and Robert. It touched on many topics that are pertinent to working at any Navy facility, especially a shipyard. The pace of the course was not overwhelming and there were adequate breaks. The information that I learned will be very helpful.

For an entity that charges for and conducts 10 hour trainings via webinar to multiple places, their internet strength and data rate should be the best. A disclaimer at the beginning of the class saying that the sound will come through, but the video will be choppy, didn't really cut it.

The material presented was easy to understand but not all of the information in the course matched the test. (For example: "The objective of OSHA is to safety for US citizens." is a True/False question, while the lesson says that OSHA's objective is safety for the US DoL, not citizens.)

Not a bad course, most of it was a refresher for me since I was in the yards twice recently while in the Navy. The one thing I would say needs improvement is the videos. Being on Zoom, most of the videos were almost impossible to hear and they were very laggy, so not easy to watch either. Instructor was very clear and seemed very knowledgeable.
