The 2-Hour Mental Health Awareness (SST-308) course focuses on the connection between mental well-being and safety in the construction workplace. Participants will learn how common challenges such as stress, fatigue, anxiety, depression, and substance misuse can influence jobsite performance, decision-making, and overall safety.
Through this training, workers and supervisors will develop greater awareness of potential warning signs, learn appropriate ways to respond when a coworker may be struggling, and become familiar with resources that can provide additional support. The course also emphasizes reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and encouraging a workplace culture where employees feel comfortable seeking assistance.
This course fulfills the NYC Department of Buildings SST-308 Mental Health Awareness training requirement for applicable construction workers and supervisors.
