Public Health & Safety, Inc (PHSI) is a Chicago-based firm with professional and technical competence in public health, chemistry, toxicology, exposure assessment, occupational hygiene, employee training and awareness, environmental abatement project management, and air sampling. We provide professional support services for employers, manufacturers, chemical industry, school districts, unions, building owners, real estate and insurance agents, architectural, engineering and law firms. We are experienced and qualified in the following areas: Project Management, including field testing of air, water, and solids, along with bulk sampling, hazard assessment, development of management control options, budgets and specifications for indoor and outdoor waste contaminants; Project Design, including budgeting and management of asbestos abatement, mold remediation, and lead-based hazard control projects; Real Estate, particularly environmental and financial risk management support services for federally subsidized property maintenance and re-development operations; and Training and Awareness Programs in the occupational and environmental health and safety field, with our most recent addition being the EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Initial and Refresher courses.

I had an excellent experience with this course and instructor. Manny was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and patient throughout the entire training. He explained complex asbestos regulations, safety procedures, and field practices in a way that was easy to understand and apply in real-life situations.
What I appreciated most was how interactive and detailed the class was. Manny took the time to answer every question and made sure everyone fully understood the material before moving on. His real-world experience and examples helped me feel much more confident about working in the field as an Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor.

The Lead Renovator Certification class was delivered by Manny in an extremely energetic and passionate approach. He kept the class entertaining as the material can be somewhat underwhelming. Even though the class was mandatory for what I do, I felt I came away with a much greater knowledge of the importance to understand the harmful issues with Lead. I came in thinking "great, I get to learn some info about why we shouldn't have eaten paint chips as kids". Pleasantly surprised at how much more I learned and how serious this actually is. I had a wonderful experience during the Lead Renovator Certification Initial course. The instructor was highly knowledgeable and presented the material in a clear and engaging manner. They effectively communicated the importance of safety when working with lead and provided valuable, real-world examples that made the content easy to understand.
The course materials were well-organized and informative, and the instructor was always open to questions, making sure that everyone understood the material before moving forward. The pacing of the class was perfect, allowing us to cover everything in detail without feeling rushed.
