Marine Chemist Service is a highly diversified Virginia corporation that has two separate facilities, 11 different products and services, and 46 years of experience. The corporation also has one of the longest, continuously operating asbestos analytical laboratories. Throughout its history, MCS has trained approximately 13,500 student/employees, analyzed over 398,000 samples, and performed countless inspections aboard ship and within the facilities of land-side operations. This remarkable achievement has been made possible through the efforts of 30+ biologists, chemists, geologists, industrial hygienists, inspectors, safety professionals, trainers, and a group of very efficient support personnel.

He was very clear in explaining and teaching me the way to understand OSHA Standards to become a Shipyard Competent Person as learning to follow Regulations to be safe for Employees to enter confined spaces and performing Hot work. Rick was very patient and helpful in explaining on anything that we might not understand and explain again the way so we understand any situation or question.

I recently attended the Asbestos Supervisor course with Marine Chemist Service, and I cannot say enough good things about the experience. Patrick and Mary were absolutely outstanding instructors. Not only are they clearly experts in their field, but they also have a gift for teaching in a way that is engaging, practical, and easy to follow. Their depth of knowledge and ability to break down complex topics made the course both informative and enjoyable. The class itself was very well-structured, with a balance of technical information, real-world applications, and interactive discussion. Patrick and Mary encouraged questions throughout and always took the time to provide detailed explanations, drawing from their extensive experience in the industry.
