Why Should You Take This 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D Massachusetts Hoisting License Continuing Ed Online Anytime Course?

This 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D Massachusetts Hoisting License Continuing Ed Online Anytime Course meets the requirements of the continuing education for all holders of the Massachusetts Hoisting License. Prior to the renewal of a Massachusetts Hoisting License, holders must complete a predetermined number of continuing education course hours depending on the license restriction held. This class has been approved by the Department of Public Safety and satisfies all of the requirements!  A designated amount of time is necessary for each license restriction held. 

You will receive your certificate of completion when you complete the class. No waiting!  We offer our Hoisting Continuing Education classes online anytime or in our training center in Leominster, Massachusetts. We have great educators, years of experience and will make your class worry-free and enjoyable!   

Please Note:  If you operate equipment in Mass that is capable of raising 10+ feet, lifting 500+ lbs., or holding over 1/4 yard of material Mass DPS requires you to be licensed.

Class 1 Restrictions:

The operator shall only operate the Hoisting Machinery listed on the restrictions below:

• 1C: Hoisting Machinery with hydraulic telescoping booms and any other hydraulic equipment designed for the purpose of hoisting, excluding those with wire rope hoist lines, and Hoisting Machinery listed under 1D
• 1D: General industrial warehouse Fork Lift equipment primarily used in indoor facilities

Class 2 Restrictions:

The operator shall only operate the Hoisting Machinery listed on the restrictions below:

• 2A: All crawler and rubber tired excavators and backhoes, and Hoisting Machinery listed under 2B, 2C, and 2D
• 2B: Combination loader/backhoe machines and Hoisting Machinery listed under 2C and 2D
• 2C: Front end loaders and Hoisting Machinery listed under 2D
• 2D: Compact Hoisting Machinery with a gross vehicle weight not exceeding 10,000 pounds, excluding Class 1, Class 3, and Class 4
