This Certified NORMI Mold Inspector class is an entry level course meant to introduce the student to the concepts surrounding the mold inspection business, the seven components of indoor air quality and the Sanitization Protocols solution approach to assessing indoor air environments.

This course addresses the challenges faced by Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Professionals in buildings, and is designed for those individuals who are seeking to become indoor air quality investigators, specifically mold and other bioaerosols. This program covers identifying, preventing and mitigating indoor air quality problems.

NORMI, the National Organization of Remediators and Mold Inspectors, is one of the fastest growing certifying agencies in the country and has been involved in providing high quality training for mold and indoor environmental professionals since 2004.

The NORMI Certified IAQ/Mold Inspector Will:

• Learn the FIVE ACCEPTED TESTING TECHNIQUES that are used as the standard for developing an accurate evaluation of the indoor air quality of an environment
• Learn how to use the ASSESSMENT INTERVIEW PROCESS to develop a clear and concise IAQ Profile for determining a solution protocol
• Learn how to write the SANITIZATION PROTOCOL by understanding how to differentiate between "Sanitization" and "Remediation" so the consumer can be correctly directed toward the proper solution to their Indoor Air Quality issues. When sanitization is preferred, the inspector may, at his discretion, offer solutions to avoid the possible future of a more costly remediation process.

Please Note: This training course DOES NOT include NORMI Certified Mold Inspector Certification. The certification process is done directly through NORMI and requires an additional fee*

NORMI Ceritifcation Process:  Taking the test is not mandated, but it is recommended! If a student wants documentation that they completed the course and also want that NORMI stamp of approval (certification), the test IS REQUIRED!

The certification fee is $200*. Once a student pays this fee, they are sent a testing kit that they have to go out and use in the field. From their results, they have to write a report. All testing results are sent to NORMI for verification. NORMI then reviews the student's submission and issues the individual a NORMI certification based on the results.
