Corporate Training By Zack Academy - AMPP - C5 Lead Paint Removal Refresher (Supervisor/Competent Person for Commercial Buildings/Superstructures)

The AMPP (Formerly SSPC) – C5 Lead Paint Removal Refresher (Supervisor/Competent Person for Commercial Buildings/Superstructures)  provides a review of Competent Person duties and responsibilities in working with lead and other hazardous materials encountered in industrial coatings work. It also reviews relevant OSHA and EPA regulations.

Topics Include:

• Competent person requirements
• Health effects / OSHA health standards
• EPA regulations
• Overview of containment and ventilation
• Regulatory update

At the end of the course participants will take a 100-question in-course exam, with a passing score of 70%. Quizzes administered throughout the course will help students to prepare for the final.

When do you need to take the C5 Refresher Course?

• For those working with companies that are SSPC QP 2 certified, or on projects where the SSPC QP 2 certification is required, refresher training is required annually.
• For all others (unless regulatory or contract requirements are more stringent) SSPC recommends training every two years.

Note: Check with the Department of Environment with your state for their specific requirements. Most states require a C5 refresher every two years. The SSPC reserves the right to allow a 90 day grace period after the 1 or 2 year time frame to allow students time to attend a refresher class.

State supplemental training is available for students in New Jersey and Maryland for an additional fee. These students may directly contact the training center for additional information.
