Corporate Training By Zack Academy - Asbestos Abatement Contractor/Supervisor - DTC

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor Initial training is for anyone who supervises people allowed to enter the restricted and regulated asbestos abatement work area. Asbestos Contractor/Supervisors are responsible for carrying out the duties of the asbestos project's OSHA competent person in accordance with current EPA and OSHA regulations.

An Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor must have completed this training and carry a valid certificate at all times when working on qualifying projects.  This course will prepare you to apply your knowledge to the field right away, with extensive hands-on training and real-world examples from experienced instructors. This course combines lectures, discussions, and hands-on demonstrations. Safe work practices, liability, and glove bag procedures are examined in detail.

The Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act of 1986 (AHERA), which authorized the EPA to issue the EPA Asbestos Model Accreditation Plan, requires asbestos abatement professionals to receive training.  The EPA and several states have fully approved this course to meet AHERA and ASHARA accreditation requirements for asbestos work in K-12 schools, as well as public and commercial buildings.
