Safety in Secondary School Science Labs (SSSSL) is an intensive one-day seminar covering the fundamentals of lab safety and effective lab safety programs. The Laboratory Safety Institute (LSI) was founded in 1978 by Dr. James A. Kaufman to provide safety training for secondary school science teachers. We are a non-profit (501C3) corporation and Massachusetts Public Charity and the only Non-Profit International Center for Lab Safety in Science and Science Education.
