Rigging Inspector - NACB Courses

This 3-day Rigging Inspector - NACB course teaches participants how to perform in-house rigging gear inspections. This specialized course will provide in-depth instruction on identifying damaged rigging systems and using calculations to determine operational capacity. By the end of this course, students will be able to perform rigging inspections in accordance with OSHA, ASME and other applicable safety regulations.

Topics covered include: Sling Terminology and Types; Sling Capacity/Load Charts; Shackles; Sling Attachment Configurations; Calculating Sling Stress and Load Weight; Weight Tables; Inspection and Removal Criteria; Wire Ropes and Rope Slings; Alloy Chain Slings; Metal Mesh Slings; Synthetic Web Slings; Synthetic Round Slings; Rigging Hardware; Hook and Wedge Sockets; and Below the Hook Lifting Devices.
