This Qualified Rigger Level 2 - NACB course provides in-depth instruction on rigging equipment for material movements. Students will learn federal and state standards for safely operating and maintaining rigging systems. By the end of this course, students will be able to operate a variety of rigging systems on a work site.
Topics covered include: Sling Terminology and Types, Sling Capacity/Load Charts, Sling Attachments and Configuration, Calculating Sling Stress, Determing Load Weight, Hooks, Wedge Sockets, Wire Rope and End Fittings, Pre-Operational Inspection, and OSHA and ASME Standards.
