The OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Health & Safety course teaches OSHA regulations and standards as they apply to the construction industry. The course covers practices of identifying, reducing, eliminating and reporting on-site hazards. It also teaches safety awareness and assists supervisors in recognizing and reducing risks in the workplace.

This program will assist employers in training supervisors for competent person status. The training covers a variety of construction safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter at a construction site. OSHA recommends this training as an orientation to occupational health and safety. Training should emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention.

OSHA 30 Course Objectives:

  • Following this OSHA 30 training course, the student should be able to:
  • Recognize what worker rights are protected under OSHA
  • Recognize what responsibilities an employer has under OSHA
  • Identify major fall hazards
  • Identify common caught-in or -between hazards
  • Identify common struck-by hazards
  • Identify types of electrocution hazards
  • Identify ways to select appropriate PPE and lifesaving equipment
  • Identify major health hazards common to the construction industry
  • Recognize how to protect oneself from material handling hazards
  • Identify major hand & power tool hazards
  • Recognize role of the workforce in improving the current culture
  • Recognize the role of management in improving the current culture
  • Recognize ways to protect oneself from crane hazards
  • Identify major hazards related to motor vehicles, mechanized equipment and marine operations
  • Recognize ways to protect oneself from fire hazards thru prevention and emergency response
  • Recognize employer requirements for protecting workers from concrete & masonry hazards, including abatement methodsIdentify major steel erection hazards
  • Recognize ways to protect oneself from welding & cutting hazards
  • Describe types of confined space hazards
  • Recognize ways to protect oneself from confined space hazards
  • Describe activities that can lead to MSD and RMD injury and illness
  • Recognize employer requirements for providing a safety and health program that effectively reduces and prevents employee injury, illness, and fatality
  • Identify responsibilities of a supervisor in preventing worker injuries and unhealthful exposures
  • Recognize the specific legal responsibilities of a supervisor to protect worker safety and health
  • Identify the reasons for an incident investigation and future preventative measures that may result
  • Recognize ways to protect oneself from arc flash hazards
  • Describe types of health and safety construction hazards and appropriate forms mitigation


OSHA requires 30-Hour online training to be completed within 6 months from the date when you start the course.

  • OSHA 30 Course Minimum Passing Score is 70%
  • You Have 3 Chances to Pass the OSHA 30 Online Test
  • You Receive Immediate Feedback on Incorrect Answers


OSHA 30 Card

After completing the program, we will record your score and submit a report to OSHA and the Department of Labor. DOL/OSHA Completion Cards are mailed directly to the student - cards typically arrive 6 to 8 weeks after the successful course completion date.



Some OSHA Laws allow for retraining every three years, but there are exceptions if:
  • A potential hazard presents itself
  • A new danger, accident or near-miss incident is identified
