Patricia, was my instructor and was absolutely fantastic! I took the OSHA Maritime 10 course and she made it fun and easy. She made items easy to understand, and also made the time fly by! She even took the time to follow up with detailed answers on questions I had during class. Let's face it, nobody really likes to take these types of training courses but if you have to, you might as well be glad you have a great instructor! Daniel Y.

The OSHA 10-Hr Maritime course that I attended last week was one of the best courses I've attended in a really long time. Our instructor, Brandon, was amazing, and did a great job at keeping the attention of the class (especially during portions where the info was dry or the videos that we had to watch were old or dated). His humor was outstanding, and in my opinion, is the magic ingredient needed for a class such as this. Thanks again, to the team at Metropolitan Solutions for delivering a great experience.

The online format was great, it would be nice if the other participants were required to mute so they would not be distracting with background noise. I also would have liked one longer break than many short 10-15 min breaks as I would have liked to make lunch. Donald O.

Instructor provided quality health and safety information that is needed for the maritime industry and specifically the shipyard industry. Also the instructors were very interactive with the students and would test us at the end of each section. James H.

Pretty good course that gives what would be expected for this certification. One thing to note is that starting a year or two ago the Navy started migrating from eSOMS to a newer system called eTagout (really similar to SOMS) that also includes electronic WAFs. As of last year, all shipyard WAFs were still done on paper (at least in King's Bay).
Sometimes the instructor would talk during videos to provide extra information, but I found it really difficult to understand what anyone was saying due to the conflicting audio streams. Willard R.

This class was very useful. Currently I am getting on boarded to do port work. I have 13 years in the NDT industry so working at drill sites, power plants, refineries etc., and this was knowledgeable in knowing the subtle differences between the OSHA 10 and Maritime. Raphael A.

This course was a must refresher regarding current OSHA standards to stay relevant. I am a lifelong learner so this is a MUST have.
Minor curriculum update which fellow cohorts pointed out is to ensure exams for all regions to be the same to alleviate confusion during review. Also, update PPT to reflect NAVY's EWAF tagout program vice ESOMS. Btw, that's a nice incentive. Lakiesha F.
