The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recommends Outreach Training Program courses as part of an orientation program for construction professionals. This Online OSHA 10-Hour Construction Program provides entry-level workers with critical knowledge about a variety of OSHA-regulated safety and health topics to ensure on-site safety, and covers the basics about what topics fall under OSHA's umbrella, how OSHA operates to protect both workers and employers, and how you personally can benefit from knowing OSHA's standards.


How Does It Work?

  • Once the course is complete, the client can print out a certificate of completion immediately. This printout acts as a temporary card.
  • The wallet sized DOL/OSHA card will be mailed within 6-8 weeks after completion.
  • The course must be completed within 6 month (180 days) of start date
  • The student can only spend 7.5 hours in the course within a 24 hour period
  • The passing score is 70% for the module and final exams
  • The student only gets three attempts at each exam. If they fail any exam after three attempts, the course will be turned off and they must start over
  • The student evaluation at the end of the course in mandatory
  • Windows XP or Windows Vista is recommended, Microsoft Internet Explorer is recommended. Other browsers, like Firefox or Safari, might result in non-optimum results.

        • Caught-In or -Between Hazards
        • Struck-By Hazards
      • Recognize employer requirements to protect workers from each of the Focus Four Hazards
    • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
      • Describe types of hazards that require PPE Lifesaving Equipment
      • Identify and select appropriate PPE Lifesaving Equipment
      • Protect yourself from Safety & Health hazards
    • Health Hazards in Construction
      • Identify major health hazards common to the construction industry
      • Describe acute and chronic health hazards
      • Protect yourself from safety and health hazards
    • Materials Handling, Storage and Use
      • Identify material handling hazards on the job site
      • Describe common types of material handling hazards
      • Protect yourself from material handling hazards
    • Hand Tools and Power Tools
      • Identify and describe types of hand and power tool hazards
      • Protect yourself from hand and power tool hazards
    • Leading Cultural Change
      • Identify cultural challenges that exist in construction

Upon Successful Completion of This 10-Hour Program, You Will Be Able To:

  • Explain OSHA's purpose and how its standards serve to make the workplace safer for construction workers
  • Discuss the major areas in construction to which OSHA standards apply, and what those standards mandate
  • Recall what employer/employee issues OSHA covers, how and when to contact OSHA, and what protections OSHA may provide
  • Name overall safety practices relevant to the construction industry, and explain what precautions to take against hazards on the job
  • Obtain your OSHA 10 Card

This 10-Hour OSHA Construction online course is designed for workers and employees who need the OSHA 10-Hour Card, including:

    • Connecticut (must re-certify every 5 years)

Please Note:  OSHA regulations state that a student can not spend longer than 7.5 hours in a OSHA 10 course per training day. Please allocate a minimum of two (2) calendar days to complete this training.


CertificatesPrintable training certificates are issued to students at the completion of the course. For OSHA 10 or 30 hour, please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery of your valid OSHA Card.
