This First Aid Training course trains students in accordance with OSHA standards for first aid on the job site. Students will learn how to recognize and provide treatment for a variety of common workplace injuries such as burns, strokes, and other sudden illnesses. Students will also learn how to perform effective CPR, use an AED, and more. Upon successful completion of this course, students will earn an American Red Cross training certificate.
OSHA requires that an employer must ensure prompt first aid treatment for injured employees. This can be done either by providing a trained first aid provider at the worksite, or by ensuring that emergency treatment services are within reasonable proximity of the worksite.
Topics to be Covered: Introduction to First Aid; Common Construction Site Injuries; Unresponsive Adult; Choking; Burns; Stroke; Anaphylaxis; Life-Threatening Bleeding and Applying a Tourniquet; CPR; Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
