Basic Rigger and Signal Person - Online Courses

This Basic Rigger and Signal Person  - Online course provides an overview of safety training for anyone performing rigging or signaling work on a jobsite. Specifically, students will learn how to calculate load weights, different types of rigging hardware and devices, and industry standard hand signals for construction communication.

This course is offered entirely online. Students will be able to start and stop course modules as necessary. Upon successful completion, students will earn a course certificate.

Topics to be Covered: Introduction to Rigging; Calculating Load Weights; Angles, Stresses and COG; Sling Hitches and Types of Slings; Rigging Hardware; Different Types of Lifting Devices; Hazard Communication; Hand Signals
