Asimismo, la legislación local NYC 52 de 2005, 32-Hour Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover - Spanish es necesario para la instalación de los trabajadores, la eliminación o modificación de los andamios soportados más de 40 pies en obras de construcción en la ciudad de Nueva York. A lo largo de este curso instructores demostrarán los métodos seguros de instalación, retirada y modificación de los diferentes tipos de andamios soportados con las regulaciones de OSHA, estándares DOB y las buenas prácticas de trabajo como guía.

Algunos de los temas tratados durante el curso incluirán los principales componentes del andamio, importancia de la planificación previa adecuada, capacitación de los trabajadores, y cómo leer los dibujos de diseño de andamios. A lo largo del curso, los estudiantes también participarán en ejercicios prácticos en los que van a construir y desmantelar andamios soportados, aplicar varios nudos en la cuerda y demostrar capacidad de aplicar técnicas básicas de colgado.

Who Should Attend This Course?

The course is aimed at experienced workers who will erect, dismantle modify or repair supported scaffolds over 40 feet, safety managers, construction superintendents and individuals who just want to learn more about supported scaffold safety. 

 

Course Completion Process:  Upon successful completion of the course (in 2-3 business days), participants will receive a 32-Hour Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover course completion picture ID card that will be valid for 4 years.

 

Prerequisites:  There are no prerequisites needed to attend this course. Students must be able to verbally communicate with instructor in primary language of the training.

  

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Recognize supported scaffold related terminology and definitions
  • Identify causes of scaffolding accidents and prevention methods
  • Discuss differences between New York City Building Code and OSHA scaffolding regulations
  • Illustrate hazards related to installation/removing and use of supported scaffolds and how to control them
  • Develop a basic knowledge of how to safely install and remove supported scaffold equipment
  • Inspect supported scaffold components using methods learned

 

Course Completion Requirements:  Students are required to complete 100% of the course and actively participate in all learning activities including hands-on exercises.

COURSE LOGISTICS
CertificatesStudents receive temporary certificates at the end of class. Flagger and Scaffold students will receive photo ID cards by mail in under 2 weeks. OSHA students will receive OSHA cards by mail in approximately 30 days.
