2-Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness (SST-302) Online Courses
This 2-Hour Drugs and Alcohol Awareness (SST-302) Online course is designed to meet requirements for NYC DOB Local Law 196 training for the Site Safety Training (SST) card. Students will learn the adverse effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace, as well as how to recognize and prevent hazards related to substance abuse.
Course topics include understanding problems with drugs and alcohol; substance use disorders; use in the construction industry; and recognition, avoidance, and prevention of hazards.
Provided online on-demand, participants can complete this training at your convenience with the ability to start and stop the course as necessary. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be earn a certificate of completion and 2 hours of training to be applied to their Site Safety Training as per NYC DOB Local Law 196.
Note: This course is specially designed to be in compliance with the New York City Department of Buildings. This course features a voice-authentication technology in order to meet proctored training requirements. A working headset with microphone is required to take this course.

A lot of facts/info to take in 2 hours. No discussion about symptoms and or signs of workers on the job site under the influence and how to treat medically, as in First Aid. The employee's "problem" with Drugs and or Alcohol is a secondary concern. The primary concern is identification of a worker under the influence of Drugs and or Alcohol and protecting them and other workers on the job site.
