This 16-Hour Scaffolding Competent Person course is an OSHA safety awareness course that will review the state and federal standards for scaffold users and scaffold erectors. The course will cover types of scaffolds, the basics of installing a scaffold system and how to prevent hazardous situations.
This course focuses on the responsibilities of a Competent Person, a member of the project who is capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the work area and has the authorization to take corrective measures to eliminate them.
In this hands-on course, students can expect to work as a team to plan, assemble and inspect a scaffolding system. Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a certificate.
