How do I take the LEED Green Associate Exam?
After you attend the course we recommend reserving 20 hours of additional study time to review and take the provided practice exams. Once you feel ready to take the actual exam you will register for the LEED Green Associate exam with the U.S. Green Building Council. The exam fee is $200 for USGBC company members ($250 for non-members).
The exam is taken in-person at a Prometric Testing Center or digitally proctored online, and appointments are available 6 days a week, year-round. There is a 2-hour time limit to complete 100 weighted, multiple choice questions. A passing score of 170 or higher out of 200 points is required to earn the credential.
What is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design™)?
LEED was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) as a green building rating system used to recognize buildings and developments that are designed, constructed, and operated in a sustainable way. LEED Certification is awarded to outstanding green building projects, and individuals can earn a LEED credential to designate their expertise in the LEED rating systems.
