My two day course was a success. John Aberle was the instructor. We covered a lot of information but John's knowledge, experiences and stories helped me to visualize real life situations. I was educated and entertained. I took the exam 3 days after my course ended and I'm happy to report that I passed! I recommend Zack Academy/John for anyone thinking of taking the exam. Karin O.

As I expressed to Joan in the class, I was very surprised at how she took a topic (course) that I anticipated being boring, into a really interesting course. Her teaching methods kept me engaged, which in turn helped me remember the majority of the information that was being presented. Very informative, Joan was able to connect to everyone in the class. The review manual handout was very informative and a way to understand the structure of LEED categories, credits and points. Alicia demonstrated a profound working knowledge of the LEED course and instructing how to navigate through each section. Examples are imperative and she delivered them very well. Adding a little more humor along the way will make it more fun to learn the material. James O.

greta class I would change the book a bit by coordinating the slides.
1 the slides with centered items are hard to read...register to the left and put bullets to delineated easily.
2the slides that list credits and prerequisites also need to be revamped to put headings and separate the two.
3 put test questions in the book and have a beep when they go up on the screen.
4 I read some of the questions wrong so it may help to go over those tricky set ups that have you looking for the wrong thing. George A.

The exam prep was a good beginning on prepping for the exam, however I do wish we had more opportunity to discuss actual exam questions and test strategies.
Scott Hoover facilitator was knowledgeable on the course topic and provided some insight on the upcoming test.
I would recommend both the exam prep class and Scott to anyone thinking about obtaining this certification.

USGBC does a terrible job of outlining and preparing you for the LEED GA exam. This class does a wonderful job of giving you a high level overview and giving you the tools you need to study and pass the LEED GA exam. The instructor was generally knowledgeable about LEED v4. Jack M.

I think the material was well covered. Unfortunately, the commute to and from Sorrento Valley was terrible. 2hours to and from, and that was just my commute. 4 hours on the road sucks. Especially when I am 19 miles away. I believe I will pass the exam, and our instructor left his availability if we need to contact him. We did have someone in our class that talked a bit too much, and he knew more, which took away from the learning we needed. The instructor picked up on it, and tried to make sure that everyone was included in the dialogue not just the know it all. He was very distracting, and took away from a couple other guys who were having some difficulty with the material. But it is up to us to make sure we get the studying in, memorize what we need and get the exam over with. I have already scheduled my exam for next month, and hope I do well to pass. The rest is up to me to cover the material and put the study time in. Thank you. Sean M.
