This online Residential Radon Measurement Certification
course is a foundational course for those wanting to obtain radon measurement licensure or certification and will provide the training needed to pass the National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP) Measurement Certification exam
(exam fee not included with registration). Upon completion of this course, participants will be eligible to take the Measurement Certification exam.
This 3-hour course focuses on understanding the basics of radon gas and the EPA Guidelines for testing for radon in the home in both real estate and non-real estate settings. After taking the course you will have an understanding of radioactivity and radioactive decay, radon sources and behavior, the health effects of radon, how different radon measurement devices work and how to place them properly, QA/QC, radon in water and an overview of mitigation.
