Alaska Hazardous Paint Certification Courses in Alaska

This 16-hour Hazardous Paint Certification course meets requirements from the Alaska Department of Labor (DOL) for those performing hazardous painting operations. Students in this course will learn the safety hazards of painting operations and the best work practices to keep themselves and others safe on the job.

According to Alaska state law, painters using paints that contain hazardous materials such as toulene and xylene must receive safety training. This course provides a comprehensive review of worksite safety. Specifically, students will learn how to use air flow measurement tools, push-pull ventilation, and personal protective equipment on a painting work site. This course also discusses best work practices and engineering controls to help students learn how to identify and prevent chemical accidents before they happen.
