Worker Deleader Initial Courses

This Worker Deleader Initial training provides participants with the information necessary to become a lead worker in the lead abatement industry with techniques for carrying out lead-based paint, soil and dust lead abatement. Abatement is any set of measures designed to permanently eliminate lead-based paint hazards. Abatement work that is not conducted by a Certified Worker Deleader is subject to heavy fines by local governments and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This course is designed for deleading residential dwellings, including houses and large buildings with numerous units. This course meets the requirements of Massachusetts and OSHA for working with lead. Workers must also receive lead physicals and be licensed in Massachusetts.
