Lead Renovator Certification Initial Courses in Florida

As of April 22, 2010, anyone who performs qualifying renovations, repairs, or painting (RRP) in pre-1978 housing or child-occupied facilities must be Lead-Safe Certified by the EPA or an EPA-Authorized state.

Do your renovation, repair, or painting projects require compliance with EPA lead-safe regulations? Individuals and firms that are not certified could face fines of up to $49,722 per violation per day. To get certified, individuals must take this 1-day Lead RRP Training course.

This Lead Renovator Initial Certification (RRP Training) course is 8 hours in length and includes lead safety training approved by the EPA or applicable EPA-Authorized state program. Any contractor performing qualifying work on pre-1978 homes or child-occupied facilities must employ at least one Certified Renovator who has successfully completed this training. Companies must also process an application to become a Lead Safe Certified Firm. The course concludes with a certification exam.

Need to renew your RRP Lead Certification? Register for the 4-hour refresher course and renew before your training certificate expiration date.

I need to get my EPA lead renovator certification. What exactly do I need to do? To become a certified lead renovator, complete an 8-hour State or EPA-accredited initial course and register your firm with the EPA or Authorized State, depending on where you'll be working. Zack Academy's lead renovator certification initial training covers all required curriculum topics, and upon completion students receive their renovator certificate, enabling them to perform renovation, repair, or painting work on pre-1978 properties.
