However, if you request to change or cancel this training provided by ProActive Safety Services within 7 days before the course, you will be permitted to reschedule for a fee of $150 paid directly to the training provider. No Call/No Shows forfeit registration fees for the course and are charged a full registration fee to reschedule. The NFPA 70E Arc Flash training is designed for qualified personnel who work on, around, or near any type of electrically energized equipment. Electrical hazards, proper electrical work practices and procedures, and the safe installation of electrical equipment will be discussed. As a result of going through the Arc Flash training course, participants will gain the knowledge necessary to protect themselves and coworkers on the dangers of Arc Flash.

Major revisions in the forward of the 2018 Standards
Changes of Article 90 on safety related maintenance requirements and administrative controls
Major definitions in article100 and discuss arc flash hazard and new definitions that were added in 2018
Risk & Risk Assessment and procedures
Article 110 - General Requirements for Electrical Safety-Related Work Practices
Review the Employee Training requirements for a qualified persons
Review proper use of electrical meters and equipment
Article 120 - Training and proper LO/TO procedures & training documentation
Article 130 - Major changes in the 2018 Standards

New tables and requirements for PPE
Proper procedure on completing energized work permits when necessary

This course also includes instruction on proper voltage rated glove testing, arc flash accident for awareness, and emergency techniques to remove someone from an energized circuit.

Arc-flash is an electric current that passes through air when insulation or isolation between electrified conductors is no longer sufficient to withstand the applied voltage. OSHA recommends that in order to avoid these types of serious injuries, companies should take steps such as training and education in order to keep their employees ready and aware of all possible hazards involving arc flash.

Having an untrained workforce exposes your employees to numerous hazards, and leaves you as the Employer exposed to OSHA fines or possible litigation. Our Arc Flash training course topics include: the background of NFPA 70e, shock hazards vs. flash hazards, the proper use of Arc Flash related PPE, and much, much more.
