IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) Courses in Washington
This IICRC-accredited Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) course is designed to provide basic education for technicians and other materially interested parties in the science and practice of water damage restoration. This course will cover extraction, basic containment and basic mold procedures. This course is designed to teach non-restoration personnel that perform remediation work to give them a better concept of water damage, its effects and techniques for drying of structures. This course will give residential and commercial maintenance personnel the background to understand the procedures necessary to deal with water losses, sewer backflows and contamination such as mold.

Are there any prerequisites for taking the IICRC WRT water damage certification? The IICRC WRT course has no formal prerequisites, making it accessible to both new and experienced restoration technicians. Zack Academy's WRT water damage restoration training welcomes students at all experience levels to advance their knowledge of moisture science, water damage analysis, and industry-standard drying procedures.

Chris was awesome. He knows his stuff and has a way of explaining it that makes it click. I honestly didn’t think learning about drying out a building could keep me interested for that long, but he pulled it off!
Now I can’t look at a wet spot without wanting to investigate it. Spill a drink at my house and I’m showing up with a moisture meter and a drying plan. Thanks for that, Chris. ????

The course was very informative, I had a roof leak in 2023 and what I learned that the restorer should have done is not what they did. Learning about barriers and how many humidifiers should be put in place blew my mind. I also learned that the company should have used outside air to dry my house rather than a heater since I live in AZ and my claim was during the month of Aug.
Pat was an excellent instructor, he gave examples and shared stories that he had ran into while on the job. Everyone in class asked questions and we also had some insurance adjusters there that were able to give insite on how the insurance companies think and what information they need.

absolutely great course. I have been a carrier adjuster/appraiser for 23yrs. I wasn't sure how much I would get out of this course seeing how the remediation industry and the insurance industry go back and forth. However, Rachel is a fabulous instructor. She kept the entire class engaged on material that can be somewhat "heavy" at times to absorb or understand. I would recommend this class to everyone.
