IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) Courses in North Carolina
This IICRC-accredited Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) course is designed to provide basic education for technicians and other materially interested parties in the science and practice of water damage restoration. This course will cover extraction, basic containment and basic mold procedures. This course is designed to teach non-restoration personnel that perform remediation work to give them a better concept of water damage, its effects and techniques for drying of structures. This course will give residential and commercial maintenance personnel the background to understand the procedures necessary to deal with water losses, sewer backflows and contamination such as mold.

Are there any prerequisites for taking the IICRC WRT water damage certification? The IICRC WRT course has no formal prerequisites, making it accessible to both new and experienced restoration technicians. absolutely great course. I have been a carrier adjuster/appraiser for 23yrs. I wasn't sure how much I would get out of this course seeing how the remediation industry and the insurance industry go back and forth. However, Rachel is a fabulous instructor. She kept the entire class engaged on material that can be somewhat "heavy" at times to absorb or understand. I would recommend this class to everyone. I highly recommend Dr. Holly's WRT class. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has a gift for making technical material engaging, entertaining, and easy to understand. She was patient whenever anyone needed additional explanation, while keeping the class moving and making us laugh along the way.
What stood out most was how supportive and genuinely invested she was in every student’s success. She repeatedly extended herself to the entire class, offering extra help and making sure we knew she was available if we needed anything. I never felt like I was simply an individual sitting in an online class, it felt like I was part of a team.
I finished the course with far more knowledge, confidence, and enthusiasm for the restoration industry than I had when I began. Dr. Holly is an outstanding instructor, and I would definitely take another class with her.
