This 2-hour Online Estimatics 101 course teaches students the process of estimating and scoping on a restoration project. Specifically, students will practice assessing sites, scoping, and sketching. By the end of this course, students will have a deeper understanding of how to accurately estimate the materials needed for a project and present it to clients.
This course is presented entirely online. Students must pass the course exam with a score of 80% or higher. Upon successful completion of this course and exam, students will be eligible for 2 IICRC CEUs.
Topics to be Covered: Understanding and insight into the fundamentals of estimating process as it relates to insured property losses; Estimating Process Overview; Basic Steps of Building the Estimate; Labor and Equipment Charges; Understanding a Unit Cost; Overhead and Profit; Understanding Differences in Estimates; Tips for Success; Basic Scoping
Note: Students have sixty (60) days from the time of first login to complete this online course. Students must complete all course modules and earn an 80% or higher to receive their course certificate and continuing education credit. This course is approximately two hours in length.
