In this ABRA Certified Crime and Trauma BioRecovery Technician course, students will learn to decontaminate crime, accident and decomposition scenes. This course begins with an introduction to microbiology and pathogens and then guides students through the process of safely cleaning up after crime scenes and biological hazards.
The only thing uglier than crime is the mess left behind at some crime scenes. More than just being unsightly, exposed bodily fluids, chemical residue and other contaminants can pose a huge risk to public health. The ABRA Certified Crime and Trauma BioRecovery Technician utilizes in-depth, industry knowledge to confidently face the challenges presented at crime scenes. This course includes interactive demonstrations, diagrams, charts, and over 600 photos to help students pass the course exam. Students will even have the opportunity to interact with real blood and tissue.
Upon successful completion of this course and exam, students will receive a certificate for OSHA-certified Bloodborne Pathogen Training and a certificate from the National Institute of Decontamination Specialists. As a bonus, students who complete this course and successfully pass an OSHA 10-Hour Health and Safety Course (not included) are eligible to receive a certificate from the American BioRecovery Association.
