This Asbestos Roofer Supervisor course is designed for individuals who supervise the removal of asbestos roofing materials or persons responsible for inspecting a roof to determine whether or not asbestos containing roofing materials are present. It also includes topics required by OSHA for the competent person on a Class II roofing projects where the material remains substantially intact.

- Physical characteristics of asbestos
- Potential health effects related to asbestos exposure
- Respiratory protection and medical surveillance
- Work practices for roof removal
- Other safety and health hazards
- Overview of relevant federal and state regulations
- Hands-on roof removal techniques
- Selection of personal protective equipment
- Personnel air monitoring techniques
- Bulk sampling and hands-on inspection techniques
- Recordkeeping
Course Exams: Students are evaluated upon course completion with a 50-question multiple-choice exam and must achieve a passing score of 70% in order to receive a course certificate.
Please Note: Refresher training must be completed annually in order to maintain accreditation.
