This Asbestos Resilient Floor Covering Removal - Worker Course covers a defined set of instructions addressed to the task of removing all resilient floor covering structures. This course is required for school personnel who want to be able to remove floor tile and mastics in Illinois school buildings. The class consists of eight hours of worker training.
In order to gain the approval of OSHA and IDPH for the removal of resilient floor covering, at least one person on site MUST have competent person training.
Who Should Attend This Asbestos Resilient Floor Covering Removal - Worker Course?

The Following Topics Will Be Covered:
- Background information on asbestos
- Regulations
- Asbestos containing resilient flooring materials
- Removal of underlayment
- Hands-on training for removal of floor tile, sheet flooring, and flooring mastics.
Please Note:
- An examination is given at the conclusion of the course. The test has 60 true/false questions, and each student must pass the exam with a 70% or better in order to receive a certificate of completion.
- Please note that during hands-on training, chemicals will be used and may damage clothing. Annual refresher training is required and is the same as the initial training.
