Asbestos Contractor / Supervisor Initial Courses in Alaska

This Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor Initial training course is for any individual who performs supervision of persons permitted to enter the restricted and regulated asbestos abatement work area. The supervisor is also responsible for performing the duties of the OSHA competent person for the asbestos project, consistent with current EPA and OSHA regulations.

An Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor must have completed this training, and have a valid certificate with them at all times while working on qualifying projects. This workshop prepares you to immediately apply your knowledge to the field, with extensive hands-on training and real-world examples from experienced instructors.

Please Note: Your state has detailed education, experience and application processing requirements to qualify for licensing in the Asbestos field. Most states administer their own asbestos programs, and each state's Department of Environmental Protection/Health is generally the best place to start with questions about requirements and training. Please verify these requirements and reciprocity prior to registering for a course.

I recently completed the 40-hour Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor Certification course and had a very positive experience.... I recently completed the 40-hour Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor Certification course and had a very positive experience. The instructors were knowledgeable, professional, and did an excellent job presenting a large amount of technical and regulatory information in a way that was easy to understand. They encouraged questions and used real-world examples that helped reinforce the material. The training environment was comfortable and well organized, which made a long 40-hour course much more enjoyable. The food provided throughout the week was also very good and greatly appreciated. Overall, I would rate the course 5 out of 5 stars. It was informative, well structured, and professionally delivered. I would definitely recommend this training to others pursuing their asbestos contractor/supervisor certification.

He explained complex asbestos regulations, safety procedures, and field practices in a way that was easy to understand and apply in real-life situations.
