BPI Certification is a title given to individuals while BPI Accreditation is for companies. An individual is considered BPI Certified after successfully attaining at least one BPI credential (i.e. Building Analyst 1, Envelope, Multi-family, etc.). In order for a business to become a BPI Accredited Home Performance Contractor, they must complete an application process and employ at least one person that is a BPI Building Analyst and also have a specialty BPI certification. Check out BPI's website for a complete overview of the accreditation process: BPI Accreditation Overview .
There are two exams required to become a certified BPI Building Analyst: a written exam and a field exam. You need to get at least a 70% on the 100-question Written Exam and you must demonstrate that you understand how to use the primary tools required of a Building Analyst in the Field Exam. Our training helps to prepare you to pass the exams on the first try.
