This 40-Hour Site Safety Manager course is for construction professionals applying to take the Site Safety Manager exam or registering with the NYC Department of Buildings as a Site Safety Coordinator or Registered Construction Superintendent. This course is required by NYC Department of Buildings before taking the written examination for a New York City Site Safety Manager.

Jobsite Requirements, Application Fees, Experience Requirements:

The New York City Department of Buildings certifies Site Safety Coordinators, Site Safety Managers and Construction Superintendents as part of an ongoing effort to ensure construction sites are managed safely by professionals.

Certified Site Safety Manager must be onsite at all construction or demolitions of major buildings that are 15 or more stories or 100,000 square feet or greater. Exam Fee: $ 350. Registration Fee: $ 300. Renewal Fee: $ 150. Late Renewal Fee: $ 50. A Certified Site Safety Coordinator must be onsite at all construction or demolition of major buildings that are 10 to 14 stories. Registration Fee: $ 100. Renewal Fee: $ 50. Late Renewal Fee: $50. A Registered Construction Superintendent is required at new buildings and buildings under demolition nine stories and below. Registration Fee: $ 100. Renewal Fee: $ 50. Late Renewal Fee: $ 50. NYC DOB exam fee for SITE SAFETY MANAGER License exam applicants:  $350 (Payable to NYC DOB).  

NYC DOB exam fee for SITE SAFETY COORDINATOR: $ 100 initial fee to NYC DOB along with LIC-2 application. Contact Licensing Unit at DOB (212-566-4100) to schedule appointment.
