This Crime and Trauma Scene Cleanup workshop deals with biohazard abatement for employees of crime scene cleaning services. This workshop prepares individuals to become crime scene cleanup technicians who decontaminate and remove any blood, tissue or bodily fluids a violent crime has left behind, as well as any fingerprint dust or tear gas used during the police response. This course combines lectures with hands-on practice in all aspects of cleanup and decontamination of crime scenes.

This standard and reference guide will include principles, biological and infectious hazards, health effects, building and material sciences, equipment, tools and materials, safety and health, administrative procedures, inspection, structural demolition and clean up, contents removal or cleanup, and transport and disposal of contaminated materials.
