Prerequisites:Participants must hold the CCT – Carpet Cleaning Technician Certification and RRT – Repair/Reinstallation Technician Certification.


The IICRC Senior Carpet Inspector Course focuses on preparing carpet inspectors for certification. This course begins with an introduction to floor covering inspection, explaining basic investigation procedures that apply to all floor coverings. Some basic knowledge of fibers, yarn construction, carpet construction and installation is assumed and the course emphasis is on field testing, lab testing, inspection techniques, advanced construction, installation and maintenance issues as well as report writing, warranty interpretation, color issues, photography, sample collection, and practice and tours of related facilities. 


Each participant must have a laptop computer while attending the IICRC Senior Carpet Inspector Course. There are at least seven reports that need to be written during the class, and IICRC Inspector software that each student must learn. Weekly laptop rentals are available for an additional fee if needed.
