This IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT) course concentrates on technical procedure for successfully completing the restoration of a fire and smoke damaged environment. Students will learn how to combine technical procedures with a practical approach to managing the job site and how that relates to pricing the job.

IICRC Exam Fees:  $80.00 for each exam. Retests are $80.00 per exam. These fees are in addition to the registration fee and are paid directly to the IICRC online prior to course start date. Please use this link to register for the exam: https://iicrc.org/livestreamexamregistration


Continuing Education:  The IICRC continuing education program seeks to encourage registrants to actively participate in their industry through conventions, workshops and specialized training with continuing education and by sharing knowledge with others in the industry.

INSPECTORS:  Due to rapid changes in fiber, yarn, dye, manufacturing, finishing and related technologies, IICRC-certified inspectors must attain 14.0 CE credit hours every two years.

CLEANING/RESTORATION TECHNICIANS:  IICRC-certified cleaning and restoration technicians face many changes in their field and require 14.0 CE credit hours every four years.

ADVANCED DESIGNATIONS:  Those registrants achieving the advanced designations of Master Textile Cleaner (MTC), Master Fire and Smoke Restorer (MSR) or Master Water Restorer (MWR) will be required to attain 14.0 CE credit hours every two years.

Please Note:  Failure to meet continuing education credit requirements will result in suspension of that particular status until the requirement is met and all current course requirements are met.

My instructor was obviously very knowledgeable. However, I think he spent too much time sharing stories of his past jobs/experiences.... My instructor was obviously very knowledgeable. However, I think he spent too much time sharing stories of his past jobs/experiences. Sometimes it was relevant, but other times not so much, and I think it would've been better to focus on the materials. Also, he is very opinionated and shares his views (negative and positive) about insurance companies and other stuff. I think he should try to minimize sharing these types of opinions.

The class was very informative and the instructor even stayed on longer to answer questions and run through practice questions... The class was very informative and the instructor even stayed on longer to answer questions and run through practice questions with us. I feel much more prepared to take on Fire and Smoke restoration and remediation after this course.

Gary covered everything on the IICRC exam. I was very happy to sit in his online class. This was the first "zoom" class that... Gary covered everything on the IICRC exam. I was very happy to sit in his online class. This was the first "zoom" class that I have been in and I was very pleased how everything went. I am always happy when I can learn new stuff and be refreshed on old stuff.
